Michael Ringston

Michael Ringston studied fine arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and upon completing his studies went to work in the film and television industry. Mr. Ringston worked for a number of studios and other Networks including Viacom. Most of his work was "on set" for companies such as HBO, VH-1, and MTV Networks. The experience and knowledge acquired during the "on set" years was/is invaluable. Since starting in the industry, Mr. Ringston has filled almost every roll in production including Executive Producer, Director, Director of Photography, Writer and Editor. His experience includes working on independent productions and documentaries such as Finding Frances, which won the Audience Award for best documentary feature at the New York City International Film Festival (2012). Mr. Ringston was the Executive Producer and Editor on Finding Francis and received accolades from many industry giants such as Martin Scorsese who called Michael to say, "the film is a wonderful character study of one man facing his own mortality". Mr. Scorsese went on to praise the films pace for creating a, "Gritty New York feel". Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Ringston also co-wrote the upcoming feature film, The Firefly.
