Shrutiman Deori

Shrutiman Deori is a cinematographer/filmmaker from Assam, North-east India. He holds a Diploma degree in Sound Engineering from School of Audio Engineering (SAE), Chennai. He primarily works in the audio visual medium wherein he explores the politics of indigeneity, environment and community. Shrutiman's first short film as a director, Ne Sotal (My Courtyard) has been selected and screened at various prestigious film festivals including International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), Camden International Film Festival and Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF). He has recieved the IDFA Bertha Fund for his ongoing feature documentary 'Shadows of the Forest'.
