C'est là qu'un improbable duo, composé d'un ancien combattant aguerri et d'un pilote d'essai "tête brulée" s'engagent pour cette mission. Deux hommes dans une capsule spatiale minuscule, qui n'a jamais été réellement testée, font alors face à l'inconnu… Ils sont supposés accomplir ce qu'aucun autre homme avant eux n'a jamais fait.
