Unusually frank problem picture, and more remarkably, it is a British picture effectively set in New York. Mitchell anchors the picture as the judge presiding over the case of a 15-year-old girl who has been having sex with a middle-aged man. The sordid case involves abortion and syphilis, as well as true love. Although marketed as an exploitation picture, it is thoughtful and sincerely made by veteran Muriel Box, and elevated by one of Mitchell's last perfomances.
