A gentrified man is sitting at home, quietly reading his newspaper when his young son ("Ollie") takes a seat and sets about blowing his new big French horn! It's a deafening cacophony that ensues and his parents suggest he play outside to avoid disturbing them. All that solution delivers is the irritation of the entire street causing tempers to fray and accidents galore. Pretty soon, there is a concentrated "Stop Ollie" campaign calling on his parents to put a cork in it. "Ollie" refuses to be beaten though, and decides to take his skills into the wilderness where surely nobody can care about the racket? Wrong again - can the boy ever find anywhere to practice? Oddly enough, he does manage to find an home - and is soon the talk of the very town that shunned his talents! It's quite a lively and enjoyable animation this, epitomising as it does the worst in nimbyism and an hypocrisy amongst those who are keen to criticise but keener to share in glory, when it's there - all, of course, soundtracked to horn music. I started to learn the bagpipes when I was young... Enough said!
