This South African film is a spaghetti western without the spaghetti. So sticking to the national food theme, perhaps ‘Boerewors western’ is a better term?
This is the sequel to ‘Three Bullets For a Long Gun’ which was pretty much exploited every spaghetti western cliché and stereotype.
‘They Call Me Lucky’ is a better film all round, it’s a lot darker and more cynical than the first film and well worth checking out if you’re a fan of the spaghetti western genre or simply a rare cult film fan.
