Morgan Conway makes a decent fist of his first outing as "Dick Tracey" in this murder mystery as he tries to get to the bottom of a spate of seemingly random slasher murders. It's done on a minuscule budget, and the plot is very much join-the-dots, but it is not dull - and with Mike Mazurki as "Splitface" you've kinda got things sussed before too long. Keep an eye out for a brief contribution from Milton Parsons - who is having a great time as the undertaker - he could almost be mistaken for Tod Slaughter!
