Decent watch, might watch again, but hard to recommend.

Don't get me wrong, I like the movie: it's well casted, has a decent story and production value, but even at the time of release, it wasn't great.

There are some really funny moments, and if I were Jason Lee, I think I would have some trouble choosing between Selma Blair and Julia Stiles too, but it's mostly "what awful things can we do to him" humor. Ants under a magnifying glass just aren't all that satisfying.

The upside is that there are some very cleverly crafted characters and acting even beyond that.

There are plenty of probably better movies out there, especially after all this time.
